Welcome to Brook Hills
In Illinois, Brook Hills is some of the Midwest at its best, set in the SW corner of Orland Park Illinois, bordering the Will County areas of Mokena, unincorporated New Lenox, and Homer Glen.
As one of Orland Park’s most established and popular subdivisions, it’s nearly 500 homes and scattering of townhomes on 350 acres are never lacking for variety in architectural style, inclusion of environmental preservation with parks and trails, substantially sized lots, and pride of ownership. The beautiful, residential development of Brook Hills was completed with seven different building phases, from the late 1980’s to the early 1990’s, by Cranna Construction Co. and Malone & Maloney Builders. The boundary lines of Brook Hills extend from 172nd & Wolf Road (a.k.a. Brook Hill Drive) to Route 6 and Will Cook Road, and then North to 167th Street.
Since the completion of Brook Hills subdivision in the 1990’s, construction and development in surrounding areas has dubbed Brook Hills the last of the big lots. The frontage on these homes is spacious!
In the early planning and development of Brook Hills, much attention was given to neighborhood amenities with the preservation of natural habitats and serene and functional surroundings throughout the neighborhoods. Established trees tower over winding creeks and walkways, with an occasional bridge to keep you (and your dog!) walking from one end of the subdivision to the other.
The gentle, woodsy wildlife of the outdoors will surprise and delight you with sightings of critters and creatures, like bunnies, birds, deer, and even swans!
Brook Hills is centered around Discovery Park, a well-maintained community asset, complete with tennis and pickle ball courts, baseball and soccer fields, playgrounds with new equipment, pavilion, picnic areas, and more!
Outstanding marks are also given to the schools of Brook Hills, the place that became home for me and my family over 25 years ago. I can share my first-hand experience that gives these schools an excellent rating. Our four daughters attended School Districts 135 (Century & Meadow Ridge) and HS District 230 - Carl Sandburg High School, taking advantage of the many wonderful extracurricular opportunities the CSHS continues to offer, including marching band and orchestra.
With or without school-age family members in your home, the quality of local schools can significantly impact home values. The schools of Brook Hills add value to your Brook Hills home investment!
